The Harlem Aesthetic is the collective venture of artists Laura R. Gadson and Donna "Shimoda " Emanuel focusing on promoting and preserving the craft and entrepreneurship of artist and artisans of the African Diaspora within the cultural legacy of Harlem and beyond. Through hosting boutique style artist salons several times a year the lend their hands in driving a vehicle that connects creators with collectors and consumers. In this way THA strengthens its physical and artistic community in cultivating a living legacy of the Harlem Renaissance and the Black Arts Movement.
